The song Raining On My Mind was written because of the constant barrage of opposing versions of the truth we see everyday. It’s about the frustration of simply wanting to get to “the truth” about things, and not being manipulated by misinformation or someone’s “version” of the truth. The song also serves as a reminder that a “belief” is not necessarily a fact, and personal religious/political/social/or unproven conspiracies, belong ”only to you.” Those beliefs should never harm or hinder another who believes differently.
