Inspired by the innocent days of synth-pop music, Chance of Lightning’s Out of Spite is about a belittled partner who makes it their life goal to get revenge for their bad treatment. At first it seems like a simple case of a scorned lover taking back their power, but you soon realize their partner has disappeared without a trace. A legendary synth-pop sound of the 70’s and early 80’s mixed with EDM and modern pop.
